Today's challenge Metallic, Awesome!
I had recently received in the post my new OPI "goldeneye" nail polish...
I thought perfect, I can show it off in the metallic challenge!

Boy did I change my mind... I had decided I wanted to use both gold and silver.. and since I liked my new gold more I would do a slightly uneven design and split the colours on my ring fingers and thumbs...
I painted the silver (a BYS pretty cheap one) and thought, right, now to add the gold...

I began painting with 'Goldeneye' (and don't get me wrong I like this polish) but it totally didn't match!

I was a bit concerned as I didn't have many other gold's... I had 'gold get 'em' from Revlon, but that was much too sheer for my design...
In the end I accidentally picked up my gold shatter...
I remembered a friend saying that if you don't paint shatter on top of another nail polish it doesn't shatter...
This being said I thought, hey why not try...
So removed my base coat and painted my nails, and wa-lah...

Gold and Silver Manicure. With Studs.

Watch out for my nail-art-spam...
you like?

yay!
I was really looking forward to this one...

well, actually if I'm being honest, I had chosen the book I wanted to do... but I had no idea how to do it..

It's my very very favourite book.

The Secret Dream World of A Shopaholic.
by Sophie Kinsella

also been turned into a movie (one that i'm not too keen on- they changed a LOT of things) "Confessions of a Shopaholic"

She likes to shop, a lot!
just like me.

hence the many shopping bags.

Well any way, in the book (and the movie) the main character, Becky, buys this green scarf, from Denny and George. When she buys it she envisions a world where people will refer to her as "the girl in the green scarf"...

thus my girl-in-the-green-scarf nails...

And together they make, "The Secret Dream World of A Shopaholic" nails!

Enjoy the other blogger's nails...

Inspired by the Supernatural?
What was I going to do I wondered...
the only thing supernatural I could think of was...
Casper...
Casper the friendly ghost....

and here he is, nice and happy...

this was probably the challenge that took me the longest to choose the design,
I thought this would be the hardest...
And I was totally thinking my design/finished nails would turn out terrible!

but actually,
I loved this challenge!

So I have a few artists I like, and contemplated most of them...

At first I thought Banksy - he's a pretty rocking "street artist" and I have a favourite picture of a girl holding a love heart balloon...

then I google it, and found a picture of someone who has already painted that picture on their nails...

My next favourite piece of artwork is Van Gogh's "Starry Night" it's beautiful, moody and calm...

I thought WAY too HARD!

I also contemplated some Monet, as I really like his poppy field pictures...

In the end, with some encouragement from MyLove I ended up doing Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'...
and like I said before,
I love my nails!!!
Do You!?

Thank you Van Gogh.
And check out the other bloggers!
Cute giraffe outfit...
I love this top.
It's actually like totally my favourite with a mixture of coloured and foil giraffes...
and it totally matches my pants,
don't you think...
