Hello friends! Today I’m so excited to share my full thoughts, swatches, and experience with OPI’s brand new RapiDry lacquer collection. These were gifted to me by OPI for my honest review. 

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know I’m an OPI girl through and through, so when a new formula launches, I am absolutely ready to test it, swatch it, and analyse every detail.

I’ve spent the past week trying five of the new RapiDry shades:

Awe of a Sudden, No Further Delays, Flash ’N’ Flirty, Stop, Drop N’ Woah, and ASAPink.

Below is everything you need to know – from the shades, to the formula, to my honest thoughts as a long-time OPI lover.

About the RapiDry Formula

OPI created this line to be a true quick-dry lacquer, promising nails that dry in around 60 seconds. The formula is inspired by the technology behind their Drip Dry Drops, combined with faster-evaporating solvents to set the polish more quickly.

I’ll be honest… I was expecting the usual quick-dry trade-offs: streakiness, unevenness, dragging, dullness, or colour lifting when applying top coat. None of that happened.

Here’s what I personally noticed while swatching:

✨ Smooth application across all five shades I've swatched 

✨ No streaks, even in the shimmer and metallic shades

✨ Colour payoff was strong – two coats gave full coverage

✨ Zero transfer into top coat, which surprised me

✨ Levelling was beautiful, even though it dries fast

✨ I used three coats in the photos simply because I was enjoying watching the polish apply, but opacity was perfect at two

✨ The new packaging: slimmer bottle shape (still adjusting!) but the pink-purple ombré lid is adorable

All in all, the formula impressed me far more than I expected.

 🤎 Awe of a Sudden

A muted brown with a delicate shimmer

This shade has my neutral-loving heart. Even though I don’t often *wear* neutrals, I secretly adore them, and this one is such a cosy, comforting brown. It has the softest shimmer running through it – subtle enough that you barely notice indoors, but when sunlight hits it, it glows just right.

It gave me autumn nights, warm blankets, hot chocolate, curled-up-on-the-couch feelings. A lovely, soft, understated shade that still feels elegant.

💚 No Further Delays

A turquoise that gives total summer energy

This one completely surprised me. I’m usually a pink girl first (hi ASAPink), but this turquoise was such an instant favourite. It’s bright without being neon, bold without being overwhelming, and absolutely perfect for summer.

I kept imagining this on my toes for the pool, for beach days, for cocktails outside – it’s just a sunshine shade. Three coats shown, full coverage at two.

✨️Flash ’N’ Flirty

A classic OPI crystal-shimmer moment

If you love OPI’s signature blue-green subtle shimmer look, this one is for you. It’s soft, chic, and catches the light in such a pretty way. I love that the shimmer doesn’t overwhelm the polish. it just adds that “something extra”.

This one is especially pretty in direct sunlight, so definitely take your nails outside when you wear it!

💜 Stop, Drop N’ Woah

A purple shimmer, even though it's not usually my thing

Okay, real talk – this is my least-used colour family. I don’t naturally gravitate to purple shimmers. But I absolutely have to praise the formula here because metallic and shimmer purples are typically streaky, especially in quick-dry lines.

This one? Smooth. Even. Shockingly good.

Even if the colour isn’t my personal fave, the performance absolutely deserves applause.

💗 ASAPink

My obvious favourite – a bright, happy pink

No one is surprised that this is the shade that feels the most “me”. It’s bright, fun, fresh, and instantly cheerful. It applied beautifully in two coats and just looked so glossy and vibrant.

The final finish was super smooth, and this is definitely a shade I’ll reach for again.

 🌈 Final Thoughts

Overall, the OPI RapiDry collection exceeded my expectations. Quick-dry formulas are notoriously hit-and-miss, but this one genuinely delivered on smoothness, shine, and performance. The shades applied evenly, dried quickly, and still looked glossy once topped.

The bottle shape is new (and I’ll admit it took me a moment to adjust), but the ombré lid is such a cute touch. And realistically, packaging takes a back seat when the formula works this well.

If you’re a fast-dry polish fan or someone who hates waiting for your nails to set, this is a line worth checking out.
