Today, I'm excited to share my outfit of the day, which combines elements from City Chic, a touch of DIY creativity, and my trusty Marc Jacobs handbag. The Blue Skinny Jeans and Studded Boots:

From City Chic, I'm rocking a pair of trendy blue skinny jeans and funky studded boots. These jeans are not just comfortable but also incredibly flattering, hugging my curves in all the right places. Paired with the edgy studded boots, this combination adds a touch of urban chic to my outfit. It's the perfect balance between style and comfort for a day filled with adventures.

The DIY Blue T-Shirt with Floral Ruffle Sleeves:

What sets this outfit apart is the blue t-shirt with floral ruffle sleeves, which I lovingly crafted using scraps of fabric and the Bondi 22 tee by Sinclair Patterns. 

DIY fashion is not only sustainable but also allows you to create pieces that are uniquely yours. The floral ruffle sleeves add a playful and feminine touch to the ensemble, showcasing my love for creativity and personal expression. Crafting your own clothing is a wonderful way to infuse your personality into your style.

The Marc Jacobs Handbag:

No outfit is complete without the perfect accessory, and for me, that's my beloved black leather Marc Jacobs handbag. This timeless piece not only adds a touch of sophistication but also provides the practicality of carrying all my essentials. It's a testament to the idea that investing in quality accessories can elevate any outfit and stand the test of time.

Accessorizing:

To tie the whole look together, I've opted for some simple accessories. A delicate necklace adds a touch of elegance without overwhelming the outfit. Keeping the accessories understated allows the DIY floral ruffle sleeves and studded boots to take center stage.

 Remember, fashion is all about celebrating your individuality, so don't be afraid to mix and match, experiment with DIY, and make every outfit uniquely yours.



Feeling cute a sporty in a slight A-Line skirt.

Doesn't the scrunchie just finish off the look 😆😆

I surprised myself by loving this outfit. 

Because i sewed it myself I could cater it more to fit my shape.

First, the skirt:

I opted for this simple front but cute scalloped hem so that it would draw the eye down, away from my tummy. The pattern actually calls for buttons down the front, but I just know that will extenuate my tummy.

I've also got elastic across the back because my back has a slight inward curve and often ends up smaller, in terms of pattern pieces, than my front (stomach). In future sews I'm going to keep this in mind and consider using a size down for the back.  

The slight flare (A-Line) to the skirt provides me a nice silhouette to fake the hourglass which also detracts from my apple belly. 

Cute shoes also help keep the eye away from the apple 🍎 

Up top, I opted for a simple dolman sleeve. Again, this is one I 

sewed myself. Although not obvious, the seam/stitching on the dolman creates some gatherings and also something different to a standard tshirt, drawing the eye up.

The wider neckline shows a bit of skin (but keeps it comfortable for me).

I topped it off with a statement necklace to break up the bust a bit. 



Overall, it's definitely a bit different to what I'd usually go for, but I 

must say, I do love it ❤️
