Today was quite nice and sunny.
So I thought 'why not have a sunny outfit to reflect the day and my mood'

and here it is.

Top: Glassons loose orange spaghetti strap top
Cardigan: Glassons Red plain V neck button up cardi
Jeans: Jay Jays pale was denim skinny jean

Belt: Max
Shoes: Hannah's
Ring: Silvermoon
Necklace: Gifted from work (For Christmas)

This top I'm wearing has been in my wardrobe for quite sometime, I hadn't really been too sure how to wear it, the straps are very fine and the under-arm hangs a little low... so I am wearing it with a fitted black singlet underneath- to avoid any bra showing. I've also added a cute bright waist belt as it was a bit "sack like" without it.

Bonus: Today someone asked me if I'd lost weight! :)
Now, One thing I forgot to mention is that I am a pretty big Gossip Girl fan!

I actually first discovered the Gossip Girl books in about 2005, then was incredibly excited when I discovered they were creating a TV show.

I eagerly waited for the show to air here in New Zealand, which took forever, But finally it did.
after seeing the first episode I wanted more so I check on the every reliable Amazon, and pre-ordered my DVD of season one (Due to be released in 2 weeks - that's right 2 weeks after it aired in New Zealand talk about being behind the times!)

So the DVD arrived, and my endless love for the show began.

My favourite character has always been Blair Waldorf.
I not sure if I could pin-point why but I think it has something to do with her attitude, her presence, and her clothes.

This latest episode did not let me down! (check out her two beautiful dresses)

This here is the dress Blair is seen in near the start of the episode, and when I first saw it I was amazed at it's beauty, I immediately found my iPhone and began the Google search of where this beautiful work of art had come from...
low and behold I found it!
from Peter Som...
for $1,594...
that's $1,936 New Zealand...
(I did begin trying to justify this cost to MyLove... he wasn't convinced a dress should ever cost that much)

and then I saw...
The (almost) final scene...
(It is rather cute - and if you haven't seen it yet you should go and watch it right away- no spoilers here (except in terms of the clothing - sorry))

Blair's pink princess dress....

So again the Google search began, but I didn't have far to look as I suspected the designer...
and indeed it was Oscar De La Renta

This beautiful gown is yours to own from only $18,475...

Safe to say MyLove said NO.

But hey, agirlwithsomeclothes can keep dreaming...

Going out for dinner with my GirlFriends.
I decided to give my reversible dress a whirl!

This is the "V-neck" side

Dress: stitch ministry from Farmers
Tights: columbine from Farmers
Shoes: Footloose Purple and grey suede

I tried the dress out with a black beaded necklace (MaxShop) but I think it looked too much with a necklace and ruffles (Left photo).
ended up tying up my hair, no necklace, and some RED lippy!

This is the first of my new revlon "fizz" polishes I have tried. I felt like a bright splash of colour and boy does this provide.

Positives:
I really love the colour it has slight flecks of glitter in (which are more like tiny tiny bits of foil - as they stay flushed with the nail, not risen like some glitter, and it gives a more shimmery look than chunks of glitter)
They shimmer most when they catch the light, but when you look at them you can tell the nails are shimmery because of the slight textured look.

And the smell is spot on!!! I love the smell of citrus, this is the best nail polish to wake you up in the morning.

Minor downside:
The nail polish is quite sheer so you do need to paint a few layers if you want a solid colour look.

This is the finished product.

Yay! Today I received my order of some of the Revlon 'fizz' collection.
This is one of Revlon's Scented collections. each nail polish has a glitter/shimmer to it, and I think Revlon brought out "matching" lip-gloss for each polish.
